The work is not just tool setup

Most revenue teams do not fail because they lack another tool. They fail because the path from target account to useful conversation is full of small manual gaps.

GTM engineering is the practice of finding those gaps and turning them into systems: data moving cleanly, channels coordinated, CRM fields staying useful, and operators getting a clear next action.

The useful unit is a workflow

A workflow can start as a spreadsheet and a few scripts. It can later become a more formal CRM or RevOps automation. The important part is that each step is explicit:

  • where the source data comes from
  • what has to be enriched or validated
  • which system owns the next touch
  • how replies, meetings, and learnings get recorded

AI only helps when the plumbing is real

AI agents are useful when they sit on top of clean inputs, clear instructions, and stable feedback loops. Without that operating layer, they mostly create more output for humans to inspect.

The practical goal is simple: make the revenue motion easier to run every week.
